Description
A light, flavorful, and easy White Wine Shrimp Pasta recipe made in 20 minutes. Shrimp is sautéed in a white wine, garlic, butter, and lemon sauce, then tossed with pasta for a delicious dinner.
Ingredients
- 12 oz cooked pasta – spaghetti, linguine or penne
- 1 lb. large shrimp – peeled & deveined, 21-30 per pound
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Pinch red pepper flakes
- 4 garlic cloves – minced
- ½ cup white wine – chardonnay or pinot grigio
- 5 tbsp. butter – divided, cut into tablespoon portions
- 1 lemon – zest and juice
- 2 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Set salted water on to boil, cut butter into tablespoon portions, measure wine, and chop garlic for prep.
2. Boil salted water and cook your pasta while preparing the shrimp and sauce.
3. Pat the shrimp dry. In a bowl, combine shrimp, kosher salt, black pepper, and a pinch or two of red pepper flakes.
4. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp. butter. Add garlic and seasoned shrimp. Sauté for 1 minute without browning the garlic.
5. Flip the shrimp. Pour in the wine and zest the lemon directly over the skillet. Simmer for 2 minutes.
6. Add the remaining 3 tbsp. butter and stir occasionally until melted, about 1 minute.
7. Remove from heat and squeeze a little lemon juice over the shrimp.
8. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with tongs to coat in the sauce.
9. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and taste for seasoning, adjusting with more lemon, salt, pepper, or red pepper flakes if desired.
