Ingredients
- 8 oz Dry Egg Noodles (package or fresh)
- 2 Carrots, sliced
- 1/4 Yellow Onion, sliced
- 3 cups Cabbage, thinly sliced (1/4 large cabbage)
- 3 Garlic Cloves, diced
- 1 bunch Green Onion (green part only)
- Sauce:
- 2 tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp Brown Sugar (or regular sugar)
- 1 tbsp Water
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Corn Starch
- 1/4 tsp White Pepper
- 1 tbsp Oyster Sauce
Instructions
1. Start by slicing your onion, carrots, cabbage, garlic, and green onion, and set aside for later use.
2. Time to make your sauce: place the dark soy sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, corn starch, water, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and white pepper in a bowl and mix until fully combined.
3. Grab an 8 oz. egg noodle packet and cook for 5 minutes in boiling water. Once cooked, run them under cold water to stop further cooking.
4. To a hot pan or wok, cook your garlic, carrots, and onion for 2 minutes.
5. Add in your cabbage and continue cooking for 2 more minutes.
6. Toss in your noodles, sauce, and green onion and cook for 1 more minute, stirring until the noodles are fully coated in the sauce.
7. Serve on a plate and enjoy.
Notes
You can add protein like chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu to make it more filling.
For extra spice, add chili flakes or a drizzle of chili oil at the end.
Use pre-cut coleslaw mix for quicker prep.
