Description
If you like strawberry shortcake, you’ll love this delicious strawberry dip recipe that combines cream cheese, whipped cream, and strawberries in a delicious dessert dip!
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened at room temperature)
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces frozen whipped topping (thawed)
- ½ cup diced fresh strawberries
- 3 tablespoons strawberry ice cream topping
- Assorted dipping items (strawberries, cookies, graham crackers, etc.)
Instructions
1. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
2. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated.
3. Add almost all the chopped strawberries and mix just enough to evenly distribute the strawberries throughout the mixture. Then add the rest of the strawberries right on top.
4. Drizzle strawberry ice cream topping over the dip and gently fold it into the mixture. Finish with one final drizzle of the topping.
5. Serve with your favorite dipping treats such as cookies, graham crackers, whole strawberries, or pretzels.
Notes
Refrigerate any leftovers and keep in the fridge covered with plastic wrap for up to five days.
Use up the softer strawberries in the carton to put into the dip and keep the more firm ones for dipping.
Top with graham cracker crumbs if you want more of that strawberry cheesecake flavor.
You can try it with stabilized whipped cream instead of Cool Whip if preferred.
