Description
Golden, buttery dough is filled with creamy spinach dip and shaped into a cheerful Christmas tree that’s almost too pretty to eat—almost. It’s fun, flavorful, and perfect for sharing at holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
For the Spinach Dip
- 1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
For the Breadsticks
- 2 cans refrigerated pizza dough or crescent roll sheets
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp grated Parmesan (optional, for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Mix all dip ingredients in a bowl until creamy and well combined.
3. Roll out one sheet of dough into a large triangle shape on the baking sheet. Trim excess and set aside.
4. Spread spinach dip evenly over the triangle.
5. Roll out the second sheet of dough, shape into a matching triangle, and place on top.
6. With a sharp knife, cut horizontal lines on both sides of the triangle (leaving the center intact) to form branches.
7. Twist each strip away from the center to form spirals.
8. Brush with egg wash. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
9. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan.
Notes
For a cheesier finish, add extra mozzarella before baking. Serve warm with marinara or ranch dipping sauce for an extra festive touch.
