Description
Easy Cheeseburger Sliders have the classic flavor of your favorite burgers in bite-size form without the fuss of forming or grilling a single burger patty. A saucy ground beef mixture is nestled between two soft slider buns and topped with cheddar cheese and dill pickle.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons avocado oil
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 package (12 sliders) dinner rolls
- 1 block (8 ounces) cheddar cheese, shredded
- ¼ dill pickle, thinly sliced (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (for brushing)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until the oil is sizzling hot, about 1 minute. Add ground beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 6-8 minutes. Break up beef into small pieces to help even browning.
3. Add onion and sauté until tender, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, salt, and pepper. Mix well and cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
5. Place the dinner rolls on the lined baking sheet. Slice the rolls evenly in half lengthwise and leave the bottom half in the baking sheet.
6. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls, top with shredded cheddar cheese, and a sliced pickle. Finish by adding the top half of rolls on top.
7. Brush the tops evenly with melted butter and bake until golden brown and the cheese is completely melted, about 12-15 minutes.
8. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
How to store: Store any leftover sliders in an airtight container in the fridge for 1-2 days. The buns may become soggy over time due to the moisture from the meat.
How to reheat: Reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or in a 350°F oven or air fryer for 5-10 minutes for a crispier texture.
How to freeze: It’s best to freeze the filling separately, then assemble fresh sliders when ready to enjoy.
